The A 22 Skärgårdskryssare is a Swedish one-design racing yacht developed for the demanding conditions of the Swedish archipelago. With its long, elegant mahogany hull and balanced rig, the A 22 is one of the most beautiful wooden racing classes built in Scandinavia — a class that has been sailed and raced with passion since 1933.

The A 22 was built for the demanding waters of the Swedish archipelago — a vessel where performance and craftsmanship were never in opposition. This hull, launched in 1964, carries the full character of that intent.

A 22 byggdes för de krävande vattnen i den svenska skärgården — en båt där prestanda och hantverk aldrig stod i konflikt. Skrovet, sjösatt 1964, bär karaktären av den ambitionen.

The mahogany hull is built in laminated construction, giving it structural rigidity and the warmth only wood can hold. The pine deck — classical in proportion — was renewed in the 1980s, faithful to the original design. Wintered in a boathouse every year, she has been well protected between sailing seasons throughout her life.

Mahognyskrovet är byggt i limmad konstruktion — strukturellt stabilt och varmt på det sätt som bara trä kan vara. Pine-däcket förnyades på 1980-talet troget originaldesignen. Vinterförvarad i båthus varje år — väl skyddad mellan seglassäsongerna.

Two full berths follow the symmetry of the mahogany ribs. Natural light through original portholes. Solid joinery throughout. A space that has not been altered to suit passing fashions — original in character and in every detail.

Participated in over 45 Swedish national championships (SM), with documented victories on two occasions and multiple top-5 finishes.

Maintained with consistent care over the years. Designed by the renowned Swedish naval architect Harry Becker. All fittings newly re-chromed. Stainless keel bolts. Wintered in a boathouse every year throughout her life.
